What is the difference between Mild Steel Bins and stainless steel trash cans?
2022-12-26 00:02:35

Mild Steel Bins are trash cans produced by properly mixing carbon in iron. In the iron and steel industry, those with a carbon content of less than 2.11% are called steel, and those with a carbon content greater than 2.11% are called iron. Stainless steel is also called alloy steel. Cobalt, chromium, nickel, tungsten, titanium and other metals are added to ordinary steel.

The "iron-carbon alloy" with a carbon content of less than 2% is called "carbon steel". Carbon steel is divided into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel according to the carbon content. Adding other synthetic elements to the steel is called "alloy steel". This is the low carbon steel trash can. The purpose of smelting alloy steel is to meet the needs of production and life. The stainless steel trash can is made of alloy steel, and more metal alloy elements such as Ci and Ni are added, and there are many types.

Common stainless steel trash cans are divided into "ferritic stainless steel" and "austenitic stainless steel". Ferritic stainless steel has a body-centered lattice and is magnetic. For example: 1Ci13, 2Ci13. Often used to make tableware and decorative pieces.

Austenitic stainless steel trash can is a face-centered lattice and non-magnetic. For example: 1Ci18Ne9T, used in chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. If someone says that using a magnet to identify whether a trash can is made of stainless steel is not comprehensive.
